Cafecitos are gatherings where scholars, artists, and journalists share the research and projects they’ve developed during their fellowships. These activities foster the horizontal exchange of ideas between scholars and attendees. Cafecitos are hosted in a relaxed setting, enhanced by coffee and refreshments.
These events are an important mechanism for disseminating our scholars’ work to the university community. They create a non-hierarchical space for learning, sharing, and connecting. Cafecitos are held at both the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Puerto Rico Río Piedras Campus, institutions that make these conversations possible.
You can watch recordings of past Cafecitos on our YouTube channel
